About Robert Grove Jr., D.D.S.
As my patient or colleague, please accept a warm welcome to my website. I would like to tell you a little about my background as a California native
and a practicing endodontist. I was born and raised in San Diego and moved to San Francisco in 1987 to attend the University of the Pacific School
of Dentistry. After graduating in 1990, I returned to San Diego and worked in private general practice before joining the Public Health
Service and moving to Bethel, Alaska in 1993. Rural Alaska was a wonderful experience, one that offered exciting challenges such as providing
dental care to remote villages accessible only by small bush planes or snow machines.
In 1998, I entered the New York University School
of Dentistry's postgraduate program in Endodontics; I completed the program in 2000 and was offered a position teaching part-time in the same
program the following term. Until I moved back to my home state of California in the fall of 2004, I worked as an associate in the practice of a
nationally recognized endodontist in New Jersey, while continuing to teach one day a week at NYU.
My wife, Faith and I both have deep Californian roots. We met in San Francisco in 1988 and were married in 1992.
After exploring the country, living in San Diego for 3 years, rural Alaska for 5 years and Westchester County, New York
(just outside of Manhattan) for 6 years, we decided we wanted to plant our roots back in northern California, near family,
surrounded by the beauty of wine country and in an area where we could to take advantage of a more outdoors-oriented lifestyle. It has been
my aim to create an endontics practice which reflects the pleasant and relaxed local environment and I take pride in my Santa Rosa office.
Quality of life is very important to us. In my time off I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, skiing and playing tennis.
Since setting up my Santa Rosa practice, I have developed positive relationships with many Sonoma County dentists who refer their patients to
me for endodontic therapy with confidence. If you are setting up a new dental practice in the area, I would be very pleased to hear from you.
